Now Hiring | Controller | Remote (within driving distance from Virginia)

We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a growing, founder-led multi-location healthcare organization.

The Role

Reporting to the CEO and partnering closely with the founders, the Controller will own the day-to-day finance and accounting function across two business lines: physician services and durable medical equipment (DME). This is a hands-on, high-impact seat with real influence on business decisions from day one.

What You'll Own

• Full-cycle accounting and month-end close, including the close calendar, reconciliations, and GAAP financial statements that tie out
\n
• Leading the cash-to-accrual conversion and building the processes to sustain accrual reporting going forward
\n
• Medical and DME revenue accounting, AR roll-forwards, and GL tie-outs in partnership with RCM and third-party billing
\n
• DME inventory and cost accounting, including purchasing, COGS, cutoff, and counts
\n
• Payroll accounting and HRIS workflows, AP oversight, and spend controls
\n
• Location, department, and business-line reporting with disciplined allocations
\n
• Cash forecasting, budget and forecast mechanics, and a decision-ready management reporting package
\n
• Building SOPs, controls, and scalable systems in a fast-moving environment
\n

What You Bring

\n
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience with ownership of month-end close
\n
• Multi-location healthcare experience required; physician practice, MSO, or DME background a strong plus
\n
• Inventory accounting experience
\n
• Familiarity with healthcare revenue accounting and the revenue cycle
\n
• QuickBooks or ERP experience, with the ability to pick up new systems independently
\n
• A hands-on builder who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and still delivers clean, accurate numbers
\n
• Strong communicator who manages up effectively in a remote setting, with a polished, professional presence
\n
• Small to mid-size company experience preferred; CPA and public accounting background a plus
\n

Fully Remote | East Coast preferred | ✈️ Quarterly travel to meet with the team
